Daniel Huntsman founded Huntsman Architectural Group in 1981. From its first project, 353 Sacramento Street in the Financial District, the San-Francisco firm has gone on to design everything from multi-family residential buildings to commercial spaces to adaptive reuse and seismic retrofit projects.

Owen Kennerly founded the San-Francisco firm Kennerly Architecture & Planning, which will mark its tenth anniversary this year. Though it is known for its mixed-use and residential work, the firm has also designed a photographer’s studio and a hunting lodge, among other projects.
